"The SMU Industry Scholars program is not just a great program for introducing
students to the 'real world' work environment they will face in the future.
By benefiting from their hard work, boundless energy, and infectious enthusiasm,
I feel a little guilty that we are reaping the bigger reward."
- Hunter Hunt, president, Hunt Power
Program Description
The SMU School of Engineering's Industry
Scholars Intern Program is an industry-sponsored scholarship and internship
program designed to provide financial support plus real-world work experience
to highly qualified students.
Unlike traditional coop/internship programs, students
do not have to compromise the continuity of their education to gain work experience.
At the same time, companies gain the benefit of continuous service from students
over a period of two years, thus ensuring completion of projects.
The program is a win-win program for both SMU and its
corporate partners. It helps SMU recruit the best possible students and helps
you develop new talent for your business.
Here's how it works
When you partner with SMU School of Engineering in the Industry Scholars
