This week-long half-day program is designed
for girls entering 8th-12th grade in the fall of
2009. Girls explore engineering through
hands-on, interactive projects which show how
engineering is related to social concerns,
community interest and individual development.
Objectives of the camp include:
Hands-on engineering experience through
team project
Discover careers in engineering from
Dallas-based female engineers
Learn leadership skills from a female
engineer
Learn about college: applications,
entrance essays, financial aid
Make new friends that share your
interest in math, science and engineering!
Location and Dates
The camp will be hosted at the Lyle School of
Engineering on the main campus of Southern
Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

Eligibility:
Camp is open to all girls who will be entering the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th grade or 12th grade during the 2009 academic school year.
Grades 11 and 12: Must have completed or will
complete Algebra II in 11th grade and must have
completed at least 1 lab science.
Cost:
$50 – Payment by check made payable to Lyle
School of Engineering at SMU or cash only. No
online payment accepted. Financial assistance is
available upon request.

All attendees must complete, and have notarized,
a medical release form and a photo release form
before attending the camp.
