"Reducing OPAMP Noise for EMC without Hurting Performance"

September 21st, 2004  -- Mr. Soufiane Bendaoud, Analog Devices Inc.

Refreshments: 6:00 - 7:00 P.M.
Program: 7:00 P.M.

Location: NTS Inc.

Program Summary:
Electromagnetic interference seems to be a rising problem that many engineers consider a mystical phenomenon. What makes this problem ambiguous is that electromagnetic emission emanating from the circuit board is subject to strict rules. The FCC in the United States as well as other governing bodies throughout the world set these rules. Designers become so concerned with the emissions that they sometimes overlook some of their circuit performance. This presentation unveils how EMI is emitted or propagated and offers various techniques on how to reduce EMI and RFI without compromising performance.

Resume Summary: Soufiane graduated with a BSEE from San Francisco State University in 1999, and he has been with Analog Devices since working in the precision amplifier group. He has written several application notes and articles for trade magazines. His duties include technical support, new product definition and product evaluation.
