You are invited to submit a paper and nuggets for the 2004 NSF Design, Service, Manufacture and Industrial Innovation Research Conference in Dallas, Texas,

January 5-8, 2004.

 

Conference Prospectus:

The conference focuses on the engineering and science base needed to design innovative products and systems, deliver high quality products and systems by discovering new manufacturing processes and responsive systems for the manufacturing and service enterprise, and educating the diverse engineering workforce needed to thrive in a global economy.  Over 600 attendees will participate in the event, making it North America's largest gathering of researchers in this field.  The university attendees are at the forefront of education and research.  Industrial attendees are often either partners in these projects or the entrepreneurs who take the research results to the marketplace.

 

Submitting Your Paper and Nuggets:

Papers, published in the Conference CD-Proceedings and highlighted at the daily poster presentations, are the focus of the conference.  They MUST be submitted electronically by October 15, 2003 to 2004Papers@engr.smu.edu  the papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, 1MB file (format below).  The National Science Foundation is also requesting a Power Point nugget file (template attached) to be submitted with your paper.  The nuggets will also be included on the Conference CD.  You are invited to prepare a poster for the Grantees' Conference poster session.  You will receive additional information regarding poster space at a later date from Southern Methodist University.
