Incoming First-Year Students

The Industry Scholars Intern Program is designed for students who have high leadership and scholarship qualities. Requirements for the program include the following:

• SAT score of at least 1350

In addition, the selection committee will consider the following:

• Extracurricular activities and leadership roles/positions held (i.e. president - Engineering Club)
• Community service
• Awards/honors
• Engineering-focused internships, summer activities or employment

How to Apply

The application process for incoming students consists of the following:

• Submit an application online
  Please note: Incoming first-year students must submit an application by February 1 of their senior year in high school.
• Interview with SMU School of Engineering staff
