Our Goals
We will become a leading Electrical Engineering Department in the Nation by
building peaks of excellence in the fields of communications/signal processing
and micro/optoelectronics and by being a leader in innovative educational programs.
Our undergraduate curricula will allow graduates to choose careers in engineering
or engineering management, or to pursue graduate degrees in engineering, business,
medicine, or law.
The department will offer world-class Ph.D. programs that prepare graduates
for academic careers, for research careers in the high technology industry,
or for technical entrepreneurship.
The department will be a leader in graduate lifelong learning, developing
