Distinguished Alumni Symposium - Alex Casimiro

Alex Casimiro is Director of Information Technology for Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), one of the world’s leading electronics companies. He has global responsibilities for the company’s information technology function supporting its manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Before his current assignment, Alex was manager of Information Technology for TI’s Semiconductor business. He was responsible for development of key IT programs and for leading global cross-functional teams on critical IT projects.

While working at TI, Alex earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science in 1997 from Southern Methodist University.

Alex has been with TI for 18 years. During that time he has contributed his IT, operational and management expertise to diverse operations across TI. Since assuming his current role in November of 2002, Alex has successfully led efforts to create a consolidated, global manufacturing IT organization closely aligned with TI’s manufacturing and business operations.

Alex is involved in numerous business and community events and projects. These include IEEE; the RosettaNet Consortium, YMCA Board; internal company leadership development programs; and many local youth educational programs in his hometown of McKinney, Texas.

In addition to his Master’s degree, Alex earned Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from University of Miami.
