Author Instructions

Prepare Camera Ready Regular Paper

Dear Author:

Congratulations for the acceptance of your paper as a regular paper for publication in the proceedings of the third ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA-05) to be held January 3-6, 2005 in Cairo, Egypt.

You are allowed a total of Eight (8) pages for your regular paper. This includes all figures, tables, and references. Up to ONE (1) extra page may be purchased at a cost of US $100.00.

You may pay the extra charges with registration. For questions, please contact:

Please put the conference name - AICCSA-05 - on all correspondence, on the copyright form, and on any mailing envelope. 


Paper and Abstract Naming

 

Authors must follow the following naming guidelines for their papers and abstracts:

 

Paper name: "xxx_AuthorLastName.doc/pdf" where 'xxx" is the paper number

 

Abstract: "abs_xxx_AuthorLastName.doc" where 'xxx" is the paper number

 

Example

If author John Smith has paper number 104 accepted, the names of the files should be:

Paper: 104_Smith.pdf (or 104_Smith.doc)

Abstract: abs_104_smith.doc

Deadlines

Your paper (.pdf or .doc) must be uploaded to the ftp server (See below) by October 15, 2004.
The abstract (.doc) must be uploaded to the ftp server (See below) by October 15, 2004. (An abstract should have a maximum of 1500 characters including spaces)
A signed copyright release form must be faxed to Beth Minton (214-768-3085) by October 15, 2004.

 

Important note for PDF files

 

IEEE has a requirement for the PDF files that all fonts and graphics are embedded. For information on creating fully embedded PDF, click her.

Formatting your camera ready copy

• instruct.doc - Instructions on formatting your paper for the proceedings (MS word).
• Format - page format (MS word)
• Copyright.pdf - Copyright release form necessary to publish your paper (pdf)
• reprints.pdf - Form to order reprints of your paper (pdf).
• IEEE_CS_Latex.zip - Latex guidelines (zip)

Electronic Submission

To upload the files authors should ftp to any of the following 2 machines:
 
hostname1: homer.engr.smu.edu
hostname2: marge.engr.smu.edu

The user name and password have been e-mailed to you on 9/2/04
