Tutorial for Uploading/Downloading Personal web pages
STEP 1:
Download and install winSCP software for uploading/downloading your files. Click
here to download the software. This software is an SCP client which manages
uploading/downloading files to and from your website.
STEP 2:
Log on to engineering school servers (apoc, neo, tank or others ), using the winSCP
software. Enter your username and password for authentication.

Example: Enter apoc.engr.smu.edu in the hostname
field. Log in using your Engineering username and unix password.
STEP 3:
Select remote folder: public_html
Note: you can specify remote directory under environment and save the session for later use
STEP 4:
Select files to transfer and press F5(copy).
The home page for the webpage should be named as "index.html"
A setup script is provided to facilitate web site maintenance. It will double
check the link, initialize the index.html if not present, and set permissions.
It is called: wwwsetup.Run the wwwsetup script for initial setup or after installing
new files so permissions will allow the web server to serve your files. You
must be in Unix environment to run wwwsetup, from Windows, log in to a server
using telnet, make sure that you are in your home directory and then type 'wwwsetup'.

Your URL will be of the form: http://engr.smu.edu/~logname
Note: "logname" would be your Engineering School username.

here for tutorial), Macromedia Dreamweaver (click
here for tutorial) or any similar software. These software are available
