Log On

Start SSH Secure File Transfer program.

Click Quick Connect button.

Enter the host name (server.engr.smu.edu, where server is your favorite unix machine such as homer), and username (used in unix).

Click Connect

You will be prompted for a password, enter the unix password.

If you are connecting to the given server for the first time you might experiences a slight delay as the program establishes the connection for the first time.  After the connection is established, secure shell window with text interface might be displayed, close the window and the program, then launch SSH Secure File Transfer once more and reconnect.  This time the connection will be displayed fast, and you will be able to use the graphical interface.

To upload the file, navigate to the appropriate folder on the server and the folder on your computer.  Then, click on the file which you want to upload once and drag the file to the server.
