Once a new page is opened,
click File – Save to save the page. Keep all files belonging to
the same web site in one folder. The main page of the web site should be
saved as index.html
Insterting Text
FrontPage provides text
formatting similar to MS Word. Text can be typed or copied to the web page.

Inserting a Table
Tables are used not only
to tabulize data but also to align the page’s appearance. Images and text
insterted into a table are likely to appear as intended in different browsers
and monitor settings.
To insert a table, click
Table – Insert – Table
Specify the number of
rows and columns, border size and cell padding, and click OK.
Once the table is inserted,
it can be manually sized by pointing on the table borders and dragging.
Inserting Images
Images should be jpeg or
gif formated to be used on the web. Please limit the image size to 8-10 kb
per picture; many users are limited to dial-up connection.
To insert image click
Insert – Picture – From File
Navigate to the picture,
and click Insert.
Creating Hyperlinks
Hyperlinks can be created
between the pages of the same web site or to any page available on the Internet.
Text and images can be used as hyperlinks.

Create a hyperlink to
a page or file
Select either text or
a picture. If you do not select text or a picture, the destination URL is
displayed as the hyperlink text.
Click Insert Hyperlink.
Under Link to,
click Existing File or Web Page.
Select the page or file
you want.
Create a hyperlink to
a new page
Select either text or
a picture. If you do not select text or a picture, the destination URL is
displayed as the hyperlink text.
Click Insert Hyperlink.
Under Link to,
click Create New Document.
Type the name of the
new document. If you want to change the path of the new document, click
Change.
Under When to edit,
specify whether you want to edit the new document now or later.

Select either text or
a picture. If you do not select text or a picture, the destination URL is
displayed as the hyperlink text.
Click Insert Hyperlink.
Under Link to, make sure
that Existing File or Web Page is selected.
Click World Wide Web.
In your Web browser,
browse to the page that you want to link to, and then press ALT+TAB to switch
back to Microsoft FrontPage. The location of the page you visited is displayed
in the Address box.
