Research Accomplishments and Activities

Co-author of more than 50 published research papers covering various areas of continuous and discrete optimization.
Recent manuscripts address the development of design tools for telecommunication data networks.
Principal investigator for more than $2 million in research grants. Application areas include logistics for the U.S. Air Force and personnel assignment for the U.S. Navy.

Research Philosophy

Education programs that require a research component resulting in either a dissertation or praxis report provide the ultimate educational experience. The classroom is one student and one faculty member working on a challenging problem of interest to both. Some of my best teaching has been accomplished in this setting.
