Research Philosophy

I was born about the same time the transistor was invented, and I still recall the shocking news of Sputnik, so curiosity and fascination with technology are essential to success in research. I think that almost any student who's willing to work hard will excel academically at SMU. We have tremendous opportunities for cross-disciplinary research, and small class sizes allow for significant hands-on experience.
