Awarded a STAR ( Science to Achieve Results) Fellowship, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1999
Author of numerous published articles in scholarly journals and conference proceedings
Selected to participate in the ASCE Excellence in Civil Engineering Education Teaching Workshop, 1999

Research Philosophy

There is a tremendous need for talented experts with diverse, multidisciplinary backgrounds to solve the environmental problems associated with increased urbanization and industrialization. Only through the collaborative efforts of scientists and engineers from varied fields and experiences can research begin to address the increasingly complex problems facing society.
