Accommodations

The main conference facility is The Omni Shoreham Hotel. Reservation information for the Omni Shoreham may be found in the table at the bottom of this page.

ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATIONS

For safety and convenience, participants are strongly advised to consider hotels that are located either close to the conference hotel (i.e., a short walk or bus ride away from the Woodley Park metro station), or else very close to a Metro Red Line stop. If you are unfamiliar with Washington, please inquire with your travel agent or else consult the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Ride Guide on http://www.wmata.com/ to see whether a hotel satisfies the above criteria.

The following hotels offer significantly lower rates than the Omni Shoreham and are located close to Red Line stations:

For rates and reservations at the above-listed hotels, please consult the respective websites: http://www.daysinn.com/ and http://www.ramada.com/

Dormitory-Style Accommodations

A small block of dormitory rooms has been reserved for ISIT participants on the George Washington University campus, located south of the conference site in Washington DC (estimated transfer time via Metrorail is 20-25 minutes).  All rooms are double-occupancy and must be booked for five nights, i.e., arriving on Sunday, June 24th and departing on Friday, June 29th.  The total charge for each room will be $320.00, which amounts to a daily rate of $64.00 (no tax will be charged).

Availability is limited and bookings will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you are interested in booking a room, please send email to Adrian Papamarcou at adrian@glue.umd.edu
