Wednesday Excursion to the National Mall

ISIT organizers will lead all interested participants and their companions on a tour to the National Mall. We will leave the hotel on Wednesday at 1:30PM and take the Metro from Woodley Park to Metro Center (Red Line) and then on to Smithsonian (Orange/Blue Line). The one-way fare is $1.10. The National Mall is bounded by the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. At its center is the Washington Monument. Numerous museums line the mall, including the Air and Space Museum, the Hirshhorn, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of American History, and the Museum of Natural History. A wonderful afternoon is anticipated for all who choose to join us on a visit to this uniquely American place.
